Beyonce - Sweet Dreams

It's been awhile since I've rant, so I'm back!!! "Sweet Dreams" is released as the sixth single from Beyonce's "I Am… Sasha Fierce" album. In the US, the song is released on the Top 40 and rhythmic radio on June 2nd while in the UK, the CD single would be release on July 20th which no doubt would have more remixes of this song.

This song was leaked before the release of the album and was titled "Beautiful Nightmare". With the release of "I Am… Sasha Fierce", the song name was changed to its current title, "Sweet Dreams". This song was selected as the sixth single from the album as a last minute replacement for "Broken-Hearted Girl".

I would rather have BHG as a single than Ego. Ego is just not single material. At least her management has decided to release "Sweet Dreams", which is a good song for the summer. I do love the remix that is included on "Above and Beyoncé Video Collection & Dance Mixes" album. Definitely would be a club hit!!!

Listening to the original album edit, I can't help but wonder did Beyonce steal the "Turn the light off" phrase from fellow DC member, Michelle Williams, in which the same phrase could be heard on "Hello Heartbreak" too.

As for the video, there's the behind the scene footage of it. I do quite like the gold-plated corset that she wore. At 1:37, I see something disturbing on Beyonce's chest. Hmm...or is it???

beyonce ego kanye

Kayne West was supposed to be this track. But he didnt have to time to record his part. So finally he found the time. And yea, Kanye fits nicely for this track coz he does have a BIG EGO!
