  DJ Avi - Who's That DJ

I've been DJing on and off for the last 20 years inbetween my career as a music journalist and author. I was the editor of pop bible Smash Hits in Australia and also worked at Smash Hits in the UK where I interviewed amongst others Mariah Carey, Kylie Minogue and Janet Jackson. I currently write for DNA magazine (www.dnamagazine.com.au) covering music and entertainment, as well as editing a trade journal for the Australian media.

I published my first novel, "Revelations: 2 Weeks In Tel Aviv", in 2010 and am currently writing a book about my time with Smash Hits with two other journalists also there during the "halycon" days of 80s pop.

As a DJ going by the name of marc-e-marc I have DJed at a London club for New Kids On The Block amongst other highlights and spun in Australia under the alias of "Patsy Disco". Born and raised in Chicago, DJ Mirrorcle, legally known as Michael Brewer, started his musical journey when he was 6, when he discovered a House record collection belonging to his brother Charles.

He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 1993. In 2001, aged 14, He bought his first taste of Eurodance music with Kylie Minogue's Fever album. At the age of 17, he was became even more infatuated with Euro Dance Music. He spent a lot of time and money at Virgin Megastore on Michigan Avenue. Years later, he finally resolved himself to become a DJ. After many attempts, he found his DJ name from a song by J-Pop recording artist Ayumi Hamasaki entitled "Mirrorcle World." In 2011, DJ Jimmy B's Online Radio Show -ReMIXed Radio- featured his Mirrorcle Mix on his show.

His debut mixset, 'Mirrorcle on 34th Street Volume One' marks the columination of all his favorite genres of Dance, Trance, Electro and Euro in one pulse pounding set. Though he has yet to play a set a club, DJ Mirrorcle is a fighter and since 2010 has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft.
